The Choir regularly leads praise at traditional Sunday services and at special services throughout the church year. The Choir is comprised of 18 men and women who are dedicated, enthusiastic and hard working, under the leadership of the Organist and Choirmaster. We normally rehearse every Monday night from September through to June, and as well as singing, we also enjoy a few laughs and some craic. So after a busy day at work why not try singing as a means to relaxation. It also has some proven health benefits too. In addition to a good vocal workout, it can, help reduce stress after a busy day, improve your respiratory function, improve posture, improve self-confidence and improve self-discipline. Anyone is welcome to join – so long as you can hold a tune! There’s no audition, you won’t have to sing a solo, and you don’t even have to read music, – Oh, and by the way – men can sing too, and we could do with a few more! So why not use your talent to help lead the praise.
At present we have two praise groups in our church. We take turns, along with the organist, playing regularly at services throughout the year both morning and evening. We try to lead with a variety of praise from traditional hymns, to modern praise songs. Instruments include keyboard, drum kit, bass, cello, guitar, flute and vocals and of course we are indebted to our dedicated and skilled sound team. We practice on a Friday evening in the main church building where we enjoy both the music and our fellowship with each other. Our main aim is to lead God’s people in this place in the worship and praise of our wonderful Lord who has saved us and given us new life and purpose. Come and join your heart and voice with us to worship our Saviour Jesus Christ to whom we owe everything.
